At 23 years Old Mullen returns from her scholarship funded Studies of Renewable Energies at Curtin University in Perth Australia to receive Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation Award . This is an incredibly prestigious award, awarded to only 5 women in Canada, with Mullen as top choice. Her continued success with her academic career as well as her environmental activism sets an incredible example as a role model for others who, just like Mullen want to “save the world“.
