Start preparing for Oct 24 the International Day of Climate Action- together we really need to create a huge wave that will ripple until December for the UN meeting in Copenhagen.

Global warming threatens the very existence of The Maldives. Scientists have proven that the sea level will rise a couple meters this very century and the highest point in the islands is a couple of meters above sea level. The New president makes it clear “We cannot make Copenhagen a pact for suicide”.
After enduring five years as a political prisoner, Mohamed Nasheed, the new president of the Maldives is aggressively confronting the issue of the country’s survival, (as a substitute for focusing on day-to-day election issues). He is planning to personally put on his scuba gear and lead the world’s largest underwater demonstration, with 350 Maldivians bringing their signs and banners down to the sea floor to make the point that every corner of our planet is threatened.

We in Canada are responsible for this devastation
- what will you do about it.
