Today, OUR planet’s first ray of sunlight was greeted by a group of elders praying for Oct 24 under the mighty soars of a wind turbine at the peak of a mountain; accompanied by banners, signs and warm New Zealand souls.

This day is shared, in so many ways, with all the warm souls across our lands who are fostering the heat within by trying to slow down the heat of our climate.

If for some reason, you woke up today and didn’t feel alone… for some reason you felt part of something so momentous, so much bigger than your individual self… then smile- because there are millions of globally citizens who are smiling too.

5200 events were organized by the warm people in 181 countries today, all reflecting how climate leadership is politically critical and how Copenhagen 2009 needs to surface with ambitious, fair and binding global climate policies.

The world’s top scientists expose the need to return to a 350 parts per million carbon concentration in our atmosphere. We are currently suffering at 387 ppm.
