Leading the world’s first carbon-neutral nation, Maldives President Mohamed Nasheed, was ousted in a military coup & now under house arrest. After recently be-friending Mohamed Aslam (right) the Environmental Ministers of The Maldives a tragedy like this is a reminder of the grand challenges we face and will continue to face in the name of food security, clean water, breathable air, health and a stable ecosystem.

We’re collecting signatures on a petition that we will deliver to key secretaries of state and foreign ministers to make sure there’s pressure on the coup leaders to keep President Nasheed safe.
